Edwardsville, IL

Job Description**

World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a second shift, Warehouse Operations Supervisor to support our shipping department. Candidate must be willing to work mid-shift/second shift hours at our Edwardsville, IL facility.

+ Coordinates and controls the shipping, receiving, handling and inventory activities.

+ Provides direction, training and information to all associates in the performance of their duties.

+ Develops a daily logistics plan for the proper and most cost effective movement of daily shipments and receipts.

+ Controls warehouse inventory accuracy by assigning warehouse locations.

+ Maintains historical record keeping determining discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.

+ Achieves internal and external goals by coordinating activities with Inventory Control, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Contract Administration.

+ Understands TL9000 and ISO 9000 requirements and their relationship to warehousing.

+ Evaluates warehouse layout and recommends cost reduction concepts.

+ Enforces safety and operational policies and procedures.

+ Provides quality customer service through effective communication to achieve deliverables.

+ Coordinates basic facility maintenance.

+ Acts as lead contact for contractual groups.

+ Procures packaging supplies.

+ Assists with developing performance-improving enhancements such as web-based applications in relation to warehouse activities.

+ Trains new employees.


+ High School education required.

+ 1-3 years of leadership/supervisory experience.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Solid problem solving skills and ability to organize and multi-task.

+ Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

+ Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office).

+ Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

+ Experience with evaluation of operator performance.

+ Knowledge of safety training and standards and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

+ Hazardous communication experience.

+ Knowledge and understanding of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).

**Training preferred, but not required:**

+ ESD (Electrostatic Discharge): Knowledge of Handling ESD Protected Material

+ ESD course and test

+ Lockout/Tagout for Affected Personal

+ Forklift Certification (as required and prior to operating a forklift)

+ Forklift Course and Test
