+ The registered nurse is a professional practitioner who assesses patient needs, develops the plan of care, creates nursing diagnoses, implements interventions and evaluates patient care throughout the patient's hospitalization. Position Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current Illinois State licensure. Maintains regulatory requirements. Preferred Skills and Abilities: BCLS certification within 6 months of employment. Completion of annual orientation, in service requirements and competencies. Completion of a basic EKG class within one year of employment. Must complete work in a timely manner and wear hospital identification when on duty. Reads all monthly communications and attends mandatory unit meetings and in servicesThe registered nurse is a professional practitioner who assesses patient needs, develops the plan of care, creates nursing diagnoses, implements interventions and evaluates patient care throughout the patient's hospitalization. . Basic Computer skills . Physical Demands: Lift but not limited to 25 pounds when turning patients, assisting patients, assisting patients with activities. Must stand for 4-6 hours. Prolonged walking, standing. lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and sitting may be required. Perform multiple tasks that require prioritization. Perform crises interventions in an appropriate and timely manner. Is exposed to unpleasant sounds, sight and odors related to accidents, injuries and illness Is regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne pathogens and disease
