Job Description**

The Procurement Specialist position resides within the Global Order Operations team and interacts directly with inside sales, WWT Account Managers, authorized suppliers and end-user customers when necessary.

The Procurement Specialist will ensure that items and services purchased from specified suppliers are delivered according to agreed upon terms and conditions.

This role is expected to develop and maintain strong business relationships with both internal and external customers. This involves working closely with suppliers to develop business relationships that help facilitate a more streamlined approach to sourcing while ensuring high levels of service are maintained.

Detailed and timely communication is critical to the success of this role as well as the consistent execution of the responsibilities listed below.

**Responsibilities Include:**

* Builds and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal operations.

* Review, update and maintain purchase order details until the order is closed.

* Identify and implement actions to achieve efficiencies in our daily processes

* Manages the order fulfillment process, which may include all activities from order booking to complete delivery of product.

* Manages the general purchasing process, which may include direct customer interface, problem resolution, analyzing, reporting, etc.

* Processes customer order requests & supply purchase orders.

* Communicates regularly with WWT Sales team & support staff to ensure timely product delivery and prioritize purchasing activities.

* Communicates delivery status and issues with the customer.

* Communicates effectively with vendors regarding order status.

* Manages expedited deliveries and conducts needed follow-up to assure customer satisfaction.

* Assess purchase order history to help ensure customer deliverables are met and our financial forecasts are accurate (including placed orders and backlog orders)

* Resolve invoicing issues between supplier and accounting and receiving non-conformance issues.

* Closely tracks and verifies transaction activities to ensure adherence to supplier agreements and contracts

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Bachelor's degree is preferred

* 1-3 years of Information Technology procurement experience, preferred

* Oracle knowledge is a plus

* Strong customer service skills are required

* Excelled oral and written communication skills required

* Extremely organized

* Good PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word) required
